Corvette CR-6

iRacing have announced a delay to the much-anticpated Corvette CR-6.

According to the news page on iracing.com, the Corvette was scheduled for release;

“…before its real-world counterpart makes its final start at the 24 Hours of Le mans, June 13, 2009.”

Unfortunately, iRacing’s Tim Wheatley has updated the situation on the member forums;

Unfortunately, the Corvette is unlikely to make the new build coming at seasons end as we are waiting on some data. The time of the people who would be building it has been spent elsewhere while they were unable to do this and as soon as they can do it, they’ll be back on it.

Current estimate is now late summer.

Pity about the delay but fingers crossed we’ll be getting the Lotus 79 at the end of this season so that should tide us over waiting for the Corvette!
